Stevie Wonder - Maybe Your Baby

Is this the funkiest song ever? I am totally on a Stevie kick and have been playing Talking Book endlessly the last couple days. Everytime Maybe Your Baby comes on my face gets all distorted and I do the white-man overbite. Damn this is good tune.

What are your top Stevie songs?

Mine:

MYB
Heaven is 10 Zillion...
Boogie on Reggae Woman
You Haven't Done Nothin
Sir Duke
I Wish
Too High
Jesus Children of America
Living for the City
Do I Do
Don't You Worry About A Thing

Ah man...there a bunch more but I am tired of typing...anyway Stevie rules!

Maybe Your Baby is just pure funk, that bass, the drumming, the out of this world vocalising, wow. And Stevie could always make a refrain that could last until the dolphins fly and parrorts live at sea.

I think some of his newer funkier work is being slept on IMO like:
Please Don't Hurt My Baby- great blues refrain; the drumming is crazy good on the chorus, and gotta love that talkbox

Sweetest Somebody I Know- Somehow Stevie meshed midtempo ballad with funk and it shoah works, that bass is killer, and the clav is just played awesome, just listen to the last verse. And the chorus is just great
At this point in history, we have a choice to make

Jungle Fever had some real nice cuts like the jazzy Make Sure Your Sure
and check out the vocals on Fun Day; I think people forget that he has a really great voice

Maybe Your Baby is one of the funkiest songs ever released. Great guitar work by Ray Parker Jr.This song predated Parliament's "Flashlight", and much of the Isley Brother's 70's funk jams. Oh yeah and Michael's "hee-hee" and Prince's ode to this song, "Shockadelica".
SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."
nammie "What BGZ says I believe. I have the biggest crush on him."

No.
It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.
