I find it strange that these albums weren't put against here at the forum. From what I read somewhere, predictions are that Ciara will be #1 on the US album charts. Gwen is said to be #2-3, depending on the Emimem compilation's performance. Also in the Uk Gwen's is said to be the new 20 YO.

I have listened to both this albums since they leaked.

Initially I hated the Ciara one (I even said that on a thread!). But after battling against it (influence of someone here) I started to enjoy it alot.
Comparing it to Gwen's album, Ciara's holds-up better...Gwen's album burned very fast on my attention span (some great songs...but not enough!)

So I say that Ciara's wins imo.

They are both albums I wouldn't purchase. But Ciara's has Promise, and I bought the promo single so I could put on the instrumental and imagine Aaliyah singing it. So that's got to be worth something, right? Verdict: Ciara >>>> Gwen.

I hated Ciara so much at the begining because she sounded like a mashup of Aaliyah and Janet...But then I let the album talk.

Ciara may not be a great artist but she wins this one easily.

so far i have to go with gwen. i like the ciars cd but it's a bit too long for me. "i proceed" is that shit though! shit is banging!

I listened to a whole lot of Ciara's new one and really enjoy it...hate to say, but what "20 YO" should've been (although some tracks are crap that use well known samples waay to liberally). I'll pick it up! Not so sure about "Sweet Escape".

Ciara's puts Janets to shame , Gwen's cd is OK after you get past the title track
