That's one of my very favorites. I couldn't understand the vocal sample at the time. "What? 'I've got you fucked on the railing?'" It didn't make sense to me. It's got an eery, haunting vibe to it. Tacky video though. She looks like Venux Xtravaganza.

One of the few videos where she seems loose and herself.

My favorites are the blank spaces on her CDs between the songs. Those are the best things she's ever done.

I don't mean this as a putdown but
I consider myself more of a fan of her meltdowns than her music.

My sister is a Mariah super fan (or lamb, I think) so I was a bit turned off by her for a while. Big time overexposure! But, I do love one song, "Can't Let Go." It's a very well written pop song.

This is my absloute FAVE from her. The live band is the cream of the project. That was a good ode to Deniece Williams and Minnie Riperton.

I'm happy this thread is turning alright! biggrin

Glad to see some of you pointing some songs from Rainbow and Butterfly.

For me Butterfly is still one of the best, or maybe the best mariah carey album

There are quite a lot that I like but I think "Looking in" is amazing and many times overlooked.
"When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."
