Ray Charles or Stevie Wonder who has Been More

Influential to Artists Overall?? also who do you think has Captured More Styles the Better of the two? of these Two Artists which one is the More Underrated? whose Voice alone moves you more?I truly enjoyed the time they did "Living for the City" Together on stage that was very Touching IMHO.

Although I prefer Stevie Wonder I believe that Ray had a larger impact on the development on Soul music. Your topic doesnt ask for a personal preference, so let me be blunt. Music historians say that it was the Rythm and Blues of Ray's early Atlantic recordings which gave birth to what we call Soul today. I agree to the extend that just like Sam Cooke and the Soul Stirrers Ray managed it to take the Gospel out of church in the early 50s, even before James Brown came on the scene in 1956. That step was so radical, so daring, so revolutional at its time... that it set the whole groove for 30 years and more coming.
I believe that Stevie did not influence musicians more than the other great artsísts of his time, such as the already mentioned JB, Marvin Gaye, etc.
However, Stevie managed it to progress, to take Soul music to anew level. And he did that well
