Barry, Luther, Peabo, Teddy. Who has the best voice? Barry White Peabo Bryson or Teddy Pendergrass
Whose velvet voice do you think is better or do you prefer and why?

They're all WAY different. But I probably get the most out of hearing Luther sing.
Nobody can fuck with "It's Ecstasy When You Lay Down Next To Me" though.

Peabo Bryson has a great voice, but he did too many sappy pop songs. Many of his songs put me to sleep...

Hello, all.
I can't see how Peabo Bryson even enters this discussion. He was a good singer, but most of his material was fairly marginal. Luther Vandross had the best technical skills -- he had great power, clarity and range. However, my biggest issue with him was that he displayed very little emotion in his voice. Barry White had a great style -- he had a lover-man thing down, with his chococlate-on-chocolate voice -- but for my vote I'm going with the rough-hewn voice of Teddy Pendergrass. TP also is going to have the decided advantage of not only singing the lover-man music, but he was a true sex symbol (arguably the best one ever in soul music) -- something the other three are lacking in various degrees. And it still begs the question, because Peabo Bryson doesn't come close to entering the discussion with Luther Vandross, Teddy Pendergrass and Barry White. Of the 4, it's between Luther and Peabo. Barry's voice is a tad too deep for me. Why do you like playing around with my narrow scope of reality? - Stupify

I found it interesting why I would be questioned on my opinion of Peabo Bryson's vocal quality -- someone whose name I never heard in the same regard of the aforementioned soul music singers.
