If by "pop" you mean POPular songs I'll name two songs that have stuck with me for the whole year, although I'm a bit tired of hearing them on the radio..... Gnarls Barkley's Crazy is THE anthem of 2006, no doubt about it.... And the other pick is a local favorite, by Icelandic band Jeff Who... this song was the summer anthem here in Iceland and is still played on radio... one of the very few Icelandic songs to be played on almost every radio station, a true crossover smash..... and of course, when you're drunk at a bar or club, that sing-along bit in the second half of the song is just CLASSIC: "Barfly" | |
