I'm at the point of no return....just watch me burn! lol

I still think she should have used that line as the theme for her tour.

1. Hung Up - Abba - Gimme Gimme Gimme (A Man After Midnight)
2. Get Together - Stardust - Music Sounds Better With You or Kylie Minogue - Falling or Madonna - Holiday
3. Sorry - The Jacksons - Can You Feel It?
4. Jump - Pet Shop Boys - West End Girls
5. Future Lovers - Donna Summer - I Feel Love
6. Like It Or Not - New Order - Ceremony
7. How High - Kylie Minogue - Can't Get You Out Of My Head
8. Push - Police - Every Breath You Take

I didn't bother with the rest. They are forgettable enough to have been original.

Thanks.

lol at your last comment

I swear I still don't hear "Can You Feel It" in Sorry. I hear its bassline in "Material Girl" though, oddly.

I've never heard this Pet Shop Boys track. And don't you think "Get Together" has some "Take Your Time Do it Right" up in there?

I know some folks claim to hear "Papa Dont Preach" in "Let it Will Be" and "Like A Prayer" in "Push." I definitely hear "Die Another Day" in "Isaac." Did she write ONE original note for this album? Lord.

Here's West End Girls. It is basically the same song as jump. There's not much getting around it.

http://www.youtube.com/wa...NG8djMG_44

It was a US #1 back in '86.

What was your tracklisting, by the way?

First you must purchase all of New Order's records from the 80's.

Do they have members in common or something?

I thought New Order was the new version of Joy Division? I'm illiterate when it comes to hipster shit.

aww, hell not. confessions is hot! 20 YO is lukewarm at best. damita jo was great record and 20 YO doesn't come close. though i liked american life a lot, confessions is fun and is exactly how i like my madonna.

that's why i love JUMP so much! lol

hell, i never claimed (or thought) madonna was original. its why i've never considered her an artist but rather a savvy business woman. but i don't have to like a song because its new or different or original, i just have to enjoy it if even on a totally superficial level (and we are talking pop music here).

i agree completely. except that one is a great, funky electro-dance number and the other one is a somewhat pretentious piece of boredom. but yeah, other than that, they're just alike lol

Yeah 20 YO is really disappointing as Janet is moving further and further away from her pop audience and into Beyonce/ Mariah territory. Damita Jo at least had many pop inspired tunes like Strawberry Bounce, Island Life, All Nite, Just a Little While, R&B Junkie. Janet going totally urban just doesn't work.
