Actually,...I kinda like this image for a 40-50yr old man. Looks like he and P have the same wardrobe advisor. cool
You can't stay in leather, spikes, and chains forever!

Just one bit of advice to you Billy,...if you're gonna do Christmas songs, stay away from Frosty the Snowman!
eek disbelief

I read about this somewhere. It sounded like a joke, but now I see it's for real. Billy probably needs the money and saw how much Rod Stewart was making recording standards.

I just listened to his version of "Oh Christmas Tree" on his myspace page and it honestly wasn't the worst thing in the world. There are some Christmas videos on there too which are a little funnier. The poor guy looks like he's dying to rip that suit off and start kicking things.

It's deliberate. It's clear what he was going for, the problem is, because of the quality and the execution of that page, it's hard to see the joke. Either way, he looks good and those videos could very well be on their way to becoming holiday cult classics.

See...but that's not just any kind of cheese. It's vintage cheese.

You know the concept was to recreate the lowest budget vintage greeting card they could find. The funny part is that he still has his rings on.

does he not see the humor in this? it can't be totally serious and you're right it really does look like a cheap holiday card.

It's funny because he released a greatest hits album a number of years ago that I think over time ended up selling well. People were intersted in Billy Idol again and there seemed to be promise of a new disc with his classic style....and then after like ten years....we get this? I am intriqued. Apparently this was a mystery record on Howard Stern's show but I missed when they played it (I'll try to catch it on a replay).

Never mind...he did make an original album not so long ago....I just totally forgot!

Of course he does. He probably produced the card and said "this is what I want".

...down to the candles and all. It's really funny. The snow might be the funniest, though. That and the slow dissolves.
