Recommend me some Al Jarreau

I heard one of his songs recently, called "Mornin`", and i loved his music style.

Is anyone here into Al Jarreau? What albums should i start with?

Thank you JackieBlue biggrin

I`ve listened to a few samples now, and the music reminds me a little of Randy Craword. Which i guess makes sense, since they both make what you would call "smooth jazz"...

I like "Breakin Away". I discovered this CD as a teenager and was hooked onto his other stuff. My favorite is his take on "Teach me tonight" and "(Round, Round, Round) Blue Rondo A La Turk". Really good stuff.

I have been a fan of Al Jarreau for many years. One of my favourite albums are Look to the Rainbow. I also love 'Accentuate the Positive' from 2004. And he has recorded an album with Lou Rawls which is called 'Soul Men',this is absolutely wonderful biggrin

Reincarnate

I'd start with a greatest hits album like "The Best Of". I have it and think it's pretty cool.
