I heard one of his songs recently, called "Mornin`", and i loved his music style.

Is anyone here into Al Jarreau? What albums should i start with?

His earlier stuff are some of my favorites although I love his rendition of Take Five, Since I Fell For You, the Moonlighting Theme
and Tomorrow Today.

I`ve listened to a few samples now, and the music reminds me a little of Randy Craword. Which i guess makes sense, since they both make what you would call "smooth jazz"...

I like "Breakin Away". I discovered this CD as a teenager and was hooked onto his other stuff. My favorite is his take on "Teach me tonight" and "(Round, Round, Round) Blue Rondo A La Turk". Really good stuff.

I have been a fan of Al Jarreau for many years. One of my favourite albums are Look to the Rainbow. I also love 'Accentuate the Positive' from 2004. And he has recorded an album with Lou Rawls which is called 'Soul Men',this is absolutely wonderful

His covers of Bill Withers' "Use Me" and "Kissing My Love" both have open drum breaks.

I'd start with a greatest hits album like "The Best Of". I have it and think it's pretty cool.
