You're talking about two different types of performers here. Ciara is more like a Janet Jackson type While Fantasia is more in the mold of those old school performers like Aretha or Gladys Knight. Yes Ciara is more easier on the eyes, but I'd have to go with Fantasia. She can flat out sing. Ciara would be put on the far end of the church choir with the sopranos who can barely carry a note.

A couple of songs that are similar to Get Up and One, Two Step. I thought it was going to be broader but she stays in the same lane. The songs by Rodney Jerkins sound like Rodney and one particular what he did with Brandy. I like the one that I’m pretty sure is by Neptunes. Apparently she didn’t get the memo that interludes suck and there’s really no need for her to have them on there. Personally I like about 4 along with Promise and Get Up but there’s nothing really outstanding. One song, I'm Just Me has is mid to slow, nice arrangement but I think she's saying that she's g-h-e-t-t-o. Anyway, I think there's enough uptempo for your liking. Ah, shoot. I got this mixed up with the Ciara Evolution thread. You're probably asking about Fantasia... yeah, i was actually asking about Fantasia but it's all good.

Yeah, this is true. There are tons of them that can't sing but they've got great songs that are about something. Bob Dylan immediately comes to mind. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all."

Honestly I don't know why Ciara is famous - the song she came out w/ that everyone apparently went crazy over was fucking garbage to me. Janet can get away w/ that weak vocal shit b/c she comes from a legendary musical family so she's gonna get a pass. But I wouldn't pay to see Janet in concert, so why should I even pay attention to a Janet imitator? She don't even have a batshit brother to keep me entertained
On the other hand, I love Fantasia's voice. Not crazy about the quality of most of her songs but the child can BLOW No contest...

Fantasia is a wonderful singer but she spends too much time screaming hollering during her live performances.
I don't like Ciara. I get so tired of these manufactured pop idols. Don't get me wrong though. I did enjoy one or two of her songs but she is annoying. Fantasia really ought to find some better songwriters. that hood boy mess is crap. Her first album was quite good. She should have done a video for that baby momma song. That was my anthem.

Boring how? Onstage? I don't think so. (in Homey D. Clown voice) Material? Maybe. I don't have any of her material so I can't really comment. That Ciara performance on Letterman, now that was some boring sh*t!
