...Coming Down Again

If I thought about this more, there'd be others that i'd probably favor more.
I've been listening to this album most recently.

That's Keith. Those Keith ballads have that extra soulfulness. "All About You" "Coming Down Again."Slipping Away"

Check out "You Don't Move Me" from "Talk Is Cheap" (It's not a ballad but I enjoy Keith tracks.)

Yep. To be honest, I think the fans of the Stones in 76 wasn't at all ready for such a display of total love and commitment to black music from The Stones. The fans knew that the Stones were true r&b/blues purists from the get. But, the Stones hadn't embraced the funk element in black music as deeply as they did with Black and Blue. Even in the title of the album, their telling their fans where they were truly coming from. Black music and the blues. Which, to them, equals the same thing.

Yes, and you have to admit 'Hey Negrita' is funky as hell. Maybe not in the same way as say Clinton and Parliament, but its defianetly a funky sound all the same.

"You Don't Move Me" was his fuck you to Mick Jagger, which makes it even funnier.

"Make No Mistake" on "Talk Is Cheap" is sublime - even if Keith does sound like a drunk trying to pick up the ghost of Marilyn Monroe.

That's well put! LOL! The Bourbon Tabernacle Choir!

Mick tried to get his jabs in with "Kow Tow" and "Shoot Off Your Mouth" but he can't top Keith. (Jeff Beck did play guitar on "Primitive Cool" so that redeemed it.)

The good is thing they got their spat settled and have stayed on course.
