Why can't Black music be like this nowadays.

This is a live performance with Marvin during the 1972 film/concert "Save the Children". He does Whats going on/What happening brother. This performance is soul in its truest form against the background of the lives of black people, which makes the video even more poignant.

The sad thing is Whats going on/Whats Happening Brother is more relevant today than it was even in the 70s.

there are still artists making music in the same vein (Fertile Ground for example), but you have to find them (Viacom wont feed them to the masses)
