It's official: Confessions Tour DVD to be released on January 22nd

BREAKING NEWS-Madonna's official fanclub Icon,www.Iconmadonna.com,has finally confirmed the Confessions Tour DVD release date.More details will be posted soon,directly from Madonna's management.

The DVD will be released on January 22,2007 internationally and January 23,2007 in the US.The DVD will include the entire show,including the controversial "cross" scene.It will be released in two formats:

*CD & DVD on digipack
*DVD (DVD format)

The CD will include 8 tracks recorded live.

There's a whole bunch of songs (actually about 8 of them come to think of it) that recently leaked. Studio versions and demos of Ray of Light, I Love New York, Music Inferno, Erotica (You Thrill Me), Everybody (before it was replaced with La Isla Bonita), Luck Star, Hung Up, Drowned World/Nothing Fails. They are all waaaaay better than I expected.

Anyone else hear them yet?

Yup. Love 'em. I still desperately want "Future Lovers/I Feel Love", "Like a Virgin" (the best version yet) and "Let It Will Be".

The artwork is awful, but at least we're getting the dvd for a change. The RIT was filmed during Libson for a dvd release. Maybe they decided to scrap it thinking there was enough snippets during IGTTYAS to do it justice. Or maybe they're saving it for a 25th anniversery boxset.
