80s R&B classic of the day: "What Two Can Do" by Deniece Williams (1981)
In 1981,Deniece Williams worked with producer Thom Bell and came up with one of her most satifying albums,'My Melody'.This album is mostly remembered for the lush ballad "Silly" but the first single "What Two Can Do" is my personal favorite.A lite, breezy tune that is reminiscent of Bell's work with The Spinners,it's irresistible: Darling...there's so much that two can do Darling...I thank my lucky stars for you

Calm it! I like this one, too but really? It's your favorite from that album? Her voice is superb as always, and you're right that it does have that Spinners sound, but that staccato keyboard part in the background during the chorus kinda dates it. Thom Bell is defnitely one of my top 5 producers.

I see how it is WHAAAAAT? Don't even mention my name, motherfuckers over here have a march KISS on your ass, Dave But seriously, I think this is when she started to work with George Duke and Thom Bell. As for that cover, that woman WEARS her ass some nails
