"Yesterday" by Mary Mary = SOUL. Hi.
Just heard this on the radio again... Now THAT is singing. What a beautiful song. A nice breath of fresh air, while we usually have 2 endure the sorry state of current R&B male and female singers... mmmm... Pure Soul. "He's a musician's musician..."

It's a mess though LIVE when Tina (the redhead) come in squalling...ruining the mood of the song. love is a fate resigned memories mar my mind love it is a fate resigned Over futile odds and laughed at by the Gods and now the final frame Love is a losing game

You don't even know its a gospel record until later on in the song....sounds like any other R&B/soul record talking about a faulty relationship. It's the same with alot of contemporary gospel, it sounds like alot of stuff out there now...only difference is lyrical content & better talent. love is a fate resigned memories mar my mind love it is a fate resigned Over futile odds and laughed at by the Gods and now the final frame Love is a losing game

So true. ... and the arrangement of the song is, actually, perfect. (scorpion, huh?) "He's a musician's musician..."

This song has reached it's maximum potential of being played out on the radio even though I love the song. The radio edit doesn't do the album version justice because it's stripped down to just a piano and the girls...

Not the version played here. It's full instrumentation. "He's a musician's musician..."
