I remember seeing this actual performance in the summer of '79.I used to watch 'American Bandstand' every Saturday morning.I was a huge fan of GQ and their entire album.

the feeling's right and the music's tight on a disco night

Another good pick. Serious childhood memories with this. Love this album. This cut and their remake of "I Do Love You" is off the hook. I remember thinking they were trying to be the new Nile and Bernard of Chic.

I always liked the GQ sound.Their music is breezy and synth-heavy...it sounds fresh and light, similar to the best Chic songs.Remember their 1981 hit "Shake"? That sounds exactly like something Chic would have done.

One of my favorites from the disco era. I've got that performance on tape from when VH1 had their "American Bandstand" marathon in the 1990s.
