I've always loved that performance of "Hotline". Edmund had that spin down tight! Let's see, "High School Dance" "Wish That I Could Talk to You", "Cotton Candy" - great pop songs. One thing about a lot of the Sylvers' cuts - there was always some rock 'n roll guitar on them, which I dug cool

My sister and I used to have their posters on our bedroom wall right next to the Jackson 5/Jacksons. Lone live 'Boogie Fever'....wait...and didn't they make 'Hotline' too???

I remember back when Prince's career was just starting to take off!...and a columnist compared him to looking like one of the Sylvers or that he could easily be mistaken for one of them!

And of course, back then Prince did'nt take that as a compliment! giggle

I remember them real well. I had the pleasure of meeting them when I was a kid. They were very nice and down to earth. They sign a picture for me and a 45 of HotLine, which I still have. It was a real treat. Sadly, Edmond died recently.

I remember all those songs, But I also remember their performance in the movie "The Fish That Saved Pitsburgh" When all four sides of that box came down and there they were in those white suits and high heels. They tore it up!

It also happened with Cynthia from Right On! Magazine who was interviewing P. She made the comment of him looking like a member from the group Switch. More precisely, one of the Debarge's who were in the band. Two of them were. P's comeback to that was "Tell me what I can do to change that."
SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."
nammie "What BGZ says I believe. I have the biggest crush on him."
