She's great,I love her.Been a fan of hers since the 70s.I like those big, saapy ballads she used to do back then ("Have You Never Been Mellow","I Honestly Love You") and of course,I love her in 'Grease' and 'Xanadu'.
"Make A Move On Me" is her best song of the 80s,imo

Anx said: YAY! YAY! YAAAAY!!! I was obsessed with the movie when I was a little girl and it's still just the best! The Tubes/big band scene, ELO, ONJ, Gene Kelly (!), roller disco, art deco, bad commercial art drama, the costume changes, the crazy shopping scenes with Gene Kelly, the date scene in the "studio", the wardrobe/music montage with Keira and her sisters at the end...the unexplained Sodom/Gomorrah lump of salt statue left behind after she and her sisters ascend into heaven... (I'm all swooney)...how can you go wrong?!

She's still so beautiful even more beautiful in person... had the pleasure of seeing her in Sydney for a signing one day a couple of years ago she is a flawless beauty ...and as for Xanadu - one of my fave EVER albums period. it rocks

You must see the movie Xanadu. Especially for the extended version of the title track that they play at the end, it's freaking incredible, the cowgirl part is my favorite.
I also love the part of the movie where she does "Suspended in Time". Usually by the time I get to that point in the movie, I'm already liquored up and start getting all teary-eyed.

She's always a sentimental favorite -- one of the voices of my high school years. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Here we go...
http://www.youtube.com/wa...ed&search= OMG... Every segment of early 80s pop culture is represented...it's just perfect...I want to lick it. She's not only singing worshipfully to the tightrope walkers (who are probably also mimes ala Shields and Yarnell) but, they're carrying Japanese parasols and wearing legwarmers God...all it needs is Hello Kitty, a unicorn and a scratch and sniff sticker collection... I think it should be included in a time capsule so that future generations of cyborgs will know the joy and diversity of the early 1980s. I still have my soundtrack on vinyl (although, I listened to it so much as a kid, it's really worn out )

I just heard Have You Never Been Mellow a couple of days ago, and it was REALLY catchy.
She had a great voice, and she sang a song really well without over-singing. She just sang it the way it should be sung. My Legacy
