UK Hall of Fame (Bon Jovi,Prince,George Martin)

Just wanted to give a little input mainly on these 3 inductees since they have greatly shaped music for me through the years.

George Martin

Well what can i say, the greatest "ear" and Producer of all time hands down. To compare anyone to him is INSANE, as i have said before the work he did with the Beatles mainly from 65-70 is the greatest Production of any artist in any time period, the thing is what they did in 4 years and the amount of music is more than some artists touch in their lifetime. It should also be noted the equipment that they had to work with 2 and 4 track equipment if they were lucky. It amazes how diverse he was able to be with so little when today producers are not diverse and yet have so much technology to work with.

Prince

Well once again what can i say. Princes speech was very straight to the core of what Music has become, CONSOLIDATED. Plain and simple like he said, back when he was young kid, u could get James,Sly,Joni,Jimi all on the same stage, not anymore. When did Music stop being FREE? Well i wished Prince would have performed but he said his band was back in Vegas.

Bon Jovi
Well i saved them for last since they seemed to get the biggest response of the night which shows the power of music, and longevity. The fact that 4 guys from Jersey can get that response and admiration in the UK is truly an honor, i was really moved by their speech to which gave respect to everyone in the room and showed a Band that has always stayed true and SURVIVED all the trends of their days, everything from "Hair Metal" to "Ballad Rockers" to "Grunge" it all came and went and they are still here and doing what they do better than ever to more people than ever. I now rank them amongst the best Rock bands ever, and i have seen them many times, they are truly one of the greatest live performers ever also.

"We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F
