One in a million Larry Grahamn This is a beautiful slow jam from the 80s. I think Larry Graham is underrated as a singer.

Three and a half octave vocal range It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

When this came out, I was a pre-teen and I didn't know LG from Sly and GCS. Then, he came out with a remake of "When We Get Married" and was working the whole double-breasted suit lover man image that Nelson George complained about in his "The Death of Rhythm Blues" book. I dug the songs tremendously. Then, once I started playing music myself, I went back and discovered where Larry Graham really came from...
It's the same thing with George Benson - great instrumentalist and vocalist who sometimes does the "crossover" thing and does it well. My author page: https://www.amazon.com/au...eretttruth

This was one of the best vocal performances of ALL TIME. Larry's vocals were absolutely perfect on this song. There are very few songs I can say that about but this is one of them. I am convinced Beyonce's career would not be where it is, if she had dark skin.

I keep cracking up imagining all the Larry-Haters circled around this thread (or any thread mentioning Larry Graham)...
...with their heads about to explode. For some unknown reason, they can't (or don't want to) get it out of their minds that Larry "Svengali" Graham pulled some kind of Jedi Mind-Trick on a 40+ year old man. Btw, I don't really like the song but LG does perform it extremely well. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn.
