Dont worry i actually only had this on as a Back drop as I listened to The Beatles "LOVE" and Styx's "One with everything" two masterpieces of work. But let me tell some about the disaster of American Music Awards, well there were a few bright spots, the fact that i was able to text Nicole (PCD) (my buddy) and tell her "this show sucks". But first a few bright spots and i mean a few, well lets see, Lionel Richie performed though he seemed a little flat vocally or maybe it was the song on that new album, Barry Manilow, say what u want but i think hes in a class with Sinatra and Bennett, exccept he writes and they dont. PCD, well i was surprised they made the show, since they are on tour in germany, but they flew into LA, just to lose all of their awards, their performance was good but i had hoped they would have done another song besides "BUTTONS" though its great, they should have pulled out "Right now" which showcases all their vocals. Jay Z, what is seperating him from Diddy at this point, nothing. Mary J Blige, well i like her and respect her, but somehow she is always off key live. Then the rock performances, well i cant even tell you who the band was because they really all look alike at this point and suck too. Snow PAtrol, the biggest a-Ha rip off band since Coldplay. Then lets talk about some presenters, Paris Hilton, Britney, and then Taylor Hicks, is it me or is this guy done before he even starts? I mean didnt millions love this guy and vote for him, and now he cant buy a contract, and the Runner up Katharine Mcphee is coming out with an album in December and has all the big bucks behind her, however in an interview with RYAN LESLIE who is producing tracks for her, i realized that Producers are borderline Pimps at this point. His comments about her looks and how all he needs is a "hot track" behind those looks and it will do millions, never once a mention if the girl has any form of talent or singing ability. As far as winners, who really cares, i think i saw Mary J, Blacke Eyed Pease, and Red Hot win a few. I knew this show was a disaster when the LIVE announcer said appearing tonight Mariah Carey, and yet Mariah Carey is back in NYC here about 10 blocks from me mastering her Tour Dvd for release. And last but not least the host JIMMY KIMMEL, im sorry folks but this guy SUCKS! plain and simple, hes not a good comic, a horrible interviewer, and he cant even host a show right, he still holds the microphone to close to his mouth and his words are distorted at times, oh well on that note, oh i forgot about GWEN, all i can say is Gwen i Love you but this CD is a mistake, sometimes you should just keep extra tracks that didnt make the last album, hidden.

Oh my God this award show needs to be cancelled cause it's become a really bad joke and it's become a bad parody of itself. By 9:00 I was already channel surfing. The music sucked ass, and the performances were weak as shit. One of The Pussycat Dolls dropped her chair as they were doing some dance move and one of Gwen Stefani's dancers dropped a "key" or whatever the hell that thing was . Gwen's new song is shit. Jimmy Kimmel was horrible. He should never host another awards show again. Terrible from the start.

I only saw Beyonce's performance. I was gonna turn it, but those shoes she had on... I'd really like to know where they came from, because if she didn't have them on then I would've turned it right then and there. They had to have been 6 inches and she was just struttin' around like it was nothing. I guess she's used to that by now. I'd kill to be able to walk in heels that high. They actually showed her all girl band this this time. I tried to find a picture of the shoes, but couldn't. I did find this though


I never knew Carrie Underwood had such nice legs.

The Dixie Chicks were kind of dull, but at least it was just a song--no hype or flash.

Everyone's getting on Prince for going Vegas, but everyone's act was more Vegas than Prince will ever be, with the dancers and costumes and flash, but no real music to speak of.

Jamie Foxx's song tribute to his grandma was the highlite for me, brought me to tears.

Glad I missed it. It was past 10 when i got home and my favorite show had just started (L&O:SVU)...I hate Jimmy Kimmel and that show leaves me cold each year. Again, glad I missed out!

Haven't watched it in years - what trips me out is how the year isn't even over and they're giving out "awards". It's just a bulls**t show created by Dick Clark and his team AND it used to be shown in February...

When I used to watch it, though, there were at least performances to get a 'lil excited about. Now, I just go when I look at the lineup for any awards show.
