God this guy has a lot of compilations. Can anyone post me an actual discography? I have The Payback and In The Jungle Groove. All I can find on Amazon and in HMV are live albums or compilations.

Get "Hell".

That's because back then a lot of artists and certainly James, were 'single-artists' so-to-speak. He seldom set out to make one cohesive album. I guess it was more like constant recording, then something from that was released as a single, sometimes an album around that with filler material. I'd say the way to go with him, different than with Prince for example, would be the compilations.

Are you looking for Albums or Cds? The only way to collect James is on Vinyl... LP, 45 etc...

Same with Motherlode, though I guess it's maybe a little, little bit weaker. This album was remastered & expanded in 2003, too, and came out in 1988 for the first time. U should have it, if you enjoy Into the jungle groove.

With James, I will not start buying his regular albums - he is one of the few exceptions (as is, to me, Wilson Pickett or Zapp&Roger etc.); I try to find his Polydor comps that cover his carreer pretty good (up to 1983). And maybe the 50th Anniversary comp that is out there.
