And The Sound of Music? Blasphemy! Julie Andrews would be rolling in her grave if she were already dead. Instead, she's got to be alive and witness this. disbelief That poor, poor woman.

And is she going through every musical out there for material to steal? First Fiddler on the Roof, now the Sound of Music.

I thought musicians are supposed to create music.

Well, she's no musician, that's for sure. lol I didn't know about the Fiddler on the Roof thing. If she even THINKS of doing West Side Story.... omfg

I only saw Beyonce's performance. whofarted I was gonna turn it, but those shoes she had on... love I'd really like to know where they came from, because if she didn't have them on then I would've turned it right then and there. They had to have been 6 inches and she was just struttin' around like it was nothing. I guess she's used to that by now. lol I'd kill to be able to walk in heels that high. They actually showed her all girl band this this time. I tried to find a picture of the shoes, but couldn't. I did find this though

I never knew Carrie Underwood had such nice legs.

yeah, did they hire a session vocalist to sing a big note at the end? not to mention that her mic was way too loud and they all end up screaming at the same time "YEAH AMA's HOLLA!!" or some such nonsense.

seriously, there were five of them through the whole song, and then at the end a sixth came on just to sing a couple of big notes.

They only good part in that show was when they lowered the K-Fed look-alike into the giant wooden box and dumped him in the river - then Britney comes out and presents the first award rolleyes (they should have put her in the box with him). After Beyonce strutted around and oversang in her sparkly shoes (which were quite nice - good job matching them with the dress, B) and seeing Carrie Underwood in that hideous outfit, I put the TV on mute. The only reason I watched that train-wreck for soo long was because I wanted to hear Gwen's new song - uhh, yeah, no. Was it because it was live or does the song just totally suck like that normally? Lord, it was awful, absolutely terrible and I love Gwen...I really want to buy her new album and support her, but not if it sounds anything like that. Gwen, don't make me have to give up on you like I gave up on Whitney during the "crack is wack, but I love my man" years.

That was Melody. She can actually sing. She'll probably have to take over the lead spot after Nicole leaves. biggrin lol biggrin (LastDecember is gonna get me for that one)

Well i doubt it, Melody can sing, but she needs to mature as a vocalist, i dont think she can front a group or go solo. Nicole's solo work will be out in the middle of the year, but the strange thing is, it will be out as she tours with PCD and the second Pcd album will be out this time next year, most of its already done, its just really up to the label where and when to put it out. Nicole is in the group as long as UNI wants to pay her, when they dont want to pay her anymore then that will be it, but she isnt making the call, plus UNI knows its making big money with these girls because of her, and tons of money overseas, so they arent about to just let her go.

The AMA's aren't worse than any other award shows. Award shows suck in general. What are they thinking of when they do these things?? Always a disappointment and it's such a shame when you think about the possibilities. neutral

True. lol I thought it looked way over the top, but then I thought I'd give her the benefit of the doubt because it is showbusiness. Where else could anyone get away with that much sparkle? lol
