No. No thoughts. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

I like Huey Lewis & The News. I think they are cool and their music back in the day was great. Fore! and Sports are great albums with undeniably catchy hooks...

Yeah, I've always liked them. Got all of their albums except for their first one before they made it big. All of their albums are good except for the first one and the covers album they did in '94. Their most recent one came out last year, and it was quite good. Favorite album though, is Fore. Stuck with You and Doing it all for my Baby are my songs!

"I Hope You Love Me Like You Say You Do"(1982) "Do You Believe In Love"(1982) I never get enough of those two songs! Those are definite white soul classics. Say what you want about Huey, but he's got a great voice and I think, alot of soul. Alot of their stuff is dated now, but "I Hope You Love Me" is right up there with Hall and Oates' "Sara Smile" on my list of blue eyed soul. And the keys and background vocals on "Do You Believe In Love" really make that song for me. ______________________________________________

I like Huey Lewis And The News. Their 1983 album SPORTS was one of the best albums of that year. That had their own distinct style and sound. I love "She's Heart And Soul", "I Want A New Drug" and "Heart Of Rock And Roll". And yes "Power Of Love" is one of the best songs of the 80's decade. They tried to stretch out and tried to make a blues oriented record in the late 80's but commercially it didn't do well. I like Huey and the crew. He cites LIL MAN as a major influence on him and his group.
