Jay Z/Universal sue Myspace over album leak

Well once again Myspace is the target by Universal and this time Jay Z is helping out too. Sources say that the Jay Z album leaked to a service within Myspace and this will cut into the sales of his record released today, one person at UNI said even if we sell a million first week we consider that a loss because we know this cut into it. Well first of all, i have news for Jay and Uni that cd was out a few weeks ago, on many sites, myspace should be their last concern. Also if Jay would walk the streets of NYC he will find his new cd laying on a blanket with a thousand other cds not out yet that have been copied from promo advances given out by the labels themselves and the artists in alot of cases. Not really sure what UNI is looking for in this deal, i think they are going to blame anyone around if the record doesnt do a million, the fact is the industry built this media, and now its crying over the way its going, cant have it both ways. I think Jayz better watch himself on this issue, because a lawsuit on Myspace could cause a serious backlash on himself and universal, especially if Myspace, now free, becomes a pay site to manage a law suit.

This will be resolved by Universal being given an ownership share in MySpace. Paying for MySpace content will then become the norm. Mark my words.

Oh i agree i think Universal is using this whole Jay Z thing as a scapegoat for a lawsuit and Jay Z should be thinking twice of being a part of that kind of charade. Universal has said it wants part of myspace, and i can see it will do whatever it takes to get it. Which is scary because if you think about it, there are about 4 people in this world that control "Media", theres Rupert Murdoch, Viacoms owner, the disney/abc owner, and Universal is slowing taking over all Music ownership, they actually have ownership in Record chains too. Which amazes me that people dont "call them" on this, america is so lazy that just take whats fed them, no one questions anything, the fact that 4 people own all the media in the Us is borderline Germany in 1930's and 40's.

That's the way of the world these days. It will all become one company soon anyway.
