Oaktown's 357! So I got their first cd this weekend at the wreckastow and I knew the song "yeah yeah yeah yeah" already but nothing else from them. This cd is bumpin. They are kinda like JJ Fad but maybe more rough. The beats are hot. If you guys like the Supersonic way of rapping you should look for this. Anyone else like these chicks?

My...
...'round the way girls. They were slammin' in the early Hammer videos. I'm pretty sure CSq will be stopping by to drop a few choice comments. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 [Edited 11/20/06 12:41pm] "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. Oaktown's 357 started out as a trio back in 88 they were Hammer's back up dancer's member's were Sweet L.D,Terrible T.,and Lil'P. who are all photographed on their 89 debut Wild & loose before the release of their 1st single Yea,yeah, yeah Lil'P. left the group because she became pregnant and got married...two more ladies were brought in as members of 357 this is why you see 4 girls in the Yeah, yeah, yeah video...one of those girls VC was a video dancer who appeared in Bobby Brown's My Perogative video...the other young lady Sweet P. was a former Raider cheerleader, both of these ladies only hung around for the video shoot but never rerecorded Lil P.'s vocals....VC ended up leaving due to a broken leg...and Sweet P. ended up temporarily replacing Sassy C. in JJ fad the summer of 89...changing her name from Sweet P. to Classy P. by the time they were set to release their 2nd single "357 straight at U" which is actually a JJ Fad diss they were narrowed down to 2 members... B.Angie B. came on bored in 1990 as a guest vocalist on the rerecording of Juicy Gotcha Krazy she was never actually a member of the group...and thats the story. I am not African. Africa is in me, but I cannot return.
I am not taína. Taíno is in me, but there is no way back. I am not european. Europe lives in me, but I have no home there. I am new. History made me. My first language was spanglish. And I am

I think the first CD was really in sync with MC Hammer's "Let's get it started" album...and the 2nd one they actually have more writing credits...on the second album...Terrible T. has a song called "Smoothin" where she freaks it on the solo tip to a EW&F sample...they were supposed to have a 3rd album released in 92 called "Fila Treatment" that never came out. I am not African. Africa is in me, but I cannot return.
