My daughter's best friend and husband were at the shows and they said it was the best concert that they had ever seen. There were also people calling in to the radio stations who attended the MSG concerts and they were raving about the concerts. Oh well, different strokes for different folks. Btw, I LOVED the MSG Tribute that was shown on TV. When he and his brothers hit that stage it was electric. I also loved MJ's solo part; however, I don't think that he was feeling well that night. You could tell that it was an effort for him, but he gave his performance 150% at all times. I remember reading that a lot of times Michael would be in pain on tour and would still perform. I will never forget the time that the bridge that he was standing on while performing "Man In the Mirror" or "Earth Song" and the bridge fell 10-20 feet. It was a miracle that he wasn't killed. Michael continued performing and they say that when he finished and walked off stage, he collapsed and had to be rushed to the hospital.

Now to answer the original question, The Jacksons were never a "band" in the same fashion as Earth, Wind & Fire, or Maze in which they played instruments, they were just performers. But I do agree that they are very lazy musically speaking. They haven't put out new material since '89. But this is the best time for them, and Michael solo to put out an album for their die hard fans only if they had an indie label, the days of being signed to a major label, selling millions of albums, touring, being #1 on the Billboard charts are dead. It doesn't mean anything anymore, hell Prince proved that. If Janet would have released her CD on her own indie label, she would have been crying all the way to the bank. IF your lazy and big... you most likely wont be able to accomplish anything and who wants to really look at the jacksons... what kind of fan base would they have... other than yourself I am sorry to asked, but how old are you? 12, 13, at the very most you can't be more than 16, because your lack of knowledge of music in general is depressing. When I last look none of the Jacksons would be what I will call over-weight. Tito has always been on the chubbier side and Randy has put on weight over the years, but the rest still look fit and well. Infact all them look miles healthier than MJ does.

NO one wants to see an old over weight jackson.... if janet couldnt sell good on her lastest album... I KNOW the rest of the jackson's have NO chance... with the exception of MICHAEL JACKSON... Im in college studying to be an accountant and Im also taking financial management classes.... thats what I need to know... Im going to assume you have NO life....

That's just the thing: Triumph is just as good if not better than those albums and people don't even realize that. I disagree.'Triumph' has some good moments, but most of the songs all sound alike.I never liked the silly "Heartbreak Hotel".There is no way that this album is in the same league as 'Off The Wall' and 'Thriller'.

.. 1. Jacksons old? True 2. Jacksons over weight? Tito has always been chubby as some one said. He actually looks to be in better shape now than during "The Jacksons" peak. Randy weighs more nowdays. But the others? Jermaine and especially Marlon and Jackie seems to be in great shape. 3. No one wants to see the Jacksons? Jacksons without Michael: you are probably correct - Not a reasonable chance that the mainstream audience would care. Jacksons including Michael: Wouldn't be so sure you are correct here. In fact most people I know prefered the Jacksons section during MSG (and not MJ solo). This in spite of the fact that Michael really looked deviant in relation to his brothers and his old looks. My take on this is that many was glad to see Michael back with his brothers because it also brought back memories of what it used to be all about. Entertainment. Speculation of course...
