Jermaine Jackson was talented (video clips from liveperformances) I've sometimes heard people claiming Jermaine wasn't a real bassplayer etc
Well here are some proof that Jermaine was a good and real vocalist, bassplayer and musician. 1. For you doubting Jermaine as a real bassplayer this will probably wake you up. Listen especially on the bass lines from 1,49 min. http://www.youtube.com/wa...3DKh1iVK5c 2. You can here Jermaine sing and play the bass simultaneously on this clip: http://www.youtube.com/wa...TdwmliJS4Y 3. Jermaine and Tito grooving live in Paris http://www.youtube.com/wa...ed&search= 4. Jermaine was a good singer, he takes the lead from 2.00 min http://www.youtube.com/wa...HBCd-A78yI 5. Here's one of my favourites with Jermaine and J5 (Feelin' Alright live in 1971 - so much energy) http://www.youtube.com/wa...RuSNIHtcy8 [Edited 11/19/06 8:21am]

Listen to this solo by Tito. http://www.youtube.com/wa...JmmAgCDPPI

jermaine was the baddest bass player out in front (live playing), in the early 70's, people talk that larry graham with sly stone, needs to stop cause nobody was trippin' off no larry, cause they was trippin' off of sly, larry was great though, but jermaine was the baddest around that 71-73 era, to be able to sing, and play at the same time, is not easy, mainly when your 15, 16 years old having to learn james jamerson, and other peoples complex bass lines., jermaine, and tito inspired so many players, plus jermermaines the one behind the group switch....

Most of us who grew on the J5 know how bad Jermaine and Tito are. Playing, singing AND doing steps! That's why I have so much respect for a lot of those groups. You're getting an all-around show - cool stuff. My author page: https://www.amazon.com/au...eretttruth

Yup, I was always impressed how Jermaine as a teenager could sing, do steps, and play those Jamerson-inspired basslines! ... " I've got six things on my mind --you're no longer one of them." - Paddy McAloon, Prefab Sprout

Man, the Jackson's were the hottest family group
of all times period! I so miss those days!!!! Auuuuugh!!!!! If I could go back in time to the music, the innocense, the feeling, emotion and fun! That group was mesmerizing. As a kid I would jump out of my seat everytime we heard the Jackson 5 were on TV. I was just a runt back then but I loved the group. I loved the magazines when they were on the cover. I remember just staring at the essence magazine with them on the cover for hours. Man, can we PLEASE get back to the originality!! To hell with sampling man!! Get to the basics of real music writing and the playing of instruments!!

Funny how Jermaine never played bass on any of his solo records (at least not his Arista ones). Though to be fair, those arista albums are very programmed in every aspect, with little need for a real bass.
