You're right. I'd never seen that before.
I really like it though. It made me smile. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

ah, I do love that song, and I'd never seen that video before. Thanks for posting.
I'm a good deal less keen on Dear God, though. Its pissy tone has always seemed completely out of place on the Skylarking album to me. I prefer the initial pressings that didn't feature that track. [Edited 11/20/06 15:53pm]

The video couldn't be more eighties (but cool, alternative eighties) and the guy couldn't sound more British! Seems like there are two people who do the writing and singing but they sing and write different songs? Any history on the group....Has there every been any conflict between the two...or is it three writers/singers, Patridge and Moulding? [Edited 11/18/06 8:17am]

Vinny, Andy Partridge does most of the song writing, with help from Colin Moulding. Obviously, the group is highly influenced by the Beatles. Their album, Skylarking, sounds like Around The World In A Day, but better.
Andy does bass, Moulding is a monster guitar player. Andy is a sarcastic fuck, as are lots of english dudes. He is without doubt a genius. All you others say Hell Yea!!

Actually I think Dave Gregory, who used to be their third member, was the best guitarist, and he also doubled on Keys---but he left the group in the mid-90's ..... ...
