Lyn Collins & Marva Whitney talked about his possessiveness many times.

Said that he'd tap their phones and hire some people to track them down where ever they went.

But Tammi Terrell had it rough the most with him(And David Ruffin too) she got some nasty mental, physical and verbal abuse from those men.

These ain't hardly news though. Soul Brother #.1 was and still is notorious for his rough ways with women(and his band too).

Damn near everybody who worked with him endured a love/hate relationship with him.

Whats more brutal though, is they(his ex-band members) still have some affection for him after all the abuse they took from him. I don't know if its pussy control or hypontize, to this VERY day he put some deep fear into their asses.

Duke Ellington manipulated his band with mind games, setting them up against each other to out-do each other on stage, but thats. He didn't care if their necks were on the railroad, as long as they're outta the stage/record session, he goes on his own way. But James took it waaaaay abroad,,,,he used ALL his power to control his band, in every aspect.

Prince used a somewhat similar tactic,,,but unlike Prince, James was from the old school breed of black people; tough, unemotional and downright brutal.
