James Brown at the UK Hall of Fame Induction, looking not good at all :-( Take a look:

A friend of mine saw him live in concert about 2 weeks ago and told me that the concert was great and that he seemed to be very fit and full of energy. I didn't go to that show as the last (and only) time I saw James Brown live in concert about 10 years ago he kinda sucked. My friend who was at that show as well said that this time he actually seemed to be in better shape than 10 years ago and that the concert was so much better than the one we had seen together. well he's getting older, he can't stay looking young forever (no matter how hard he tries ) but the man has always been a genius at his musical talents....I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince. | |

he looks tore up, but then again, he should. he looks like he's had some work done on his face, or maybe it's just a new set of chompers. he kinda looks like the raisin version of himself from those old commercials.... | |

James has a great band now and it makes all the difference. A bad band with James would be a bad show. Don't get me wrong, the guy is a genius but we do have to accept he's an old man now  | |

Yes he's been married for 10 years and supports his wife with charity work. During the late sixties and seventies while he was in his twenties and full of coke, heroin, booze and acid he used to fuck underage groupies; WE KNOW! I would not do that but he's known to be actually a very nice guy and the groupies went after zep. Bonham was the bastard in zeppelin after he became an alcoholic! Although he wasn't like that before the drink or while sombre during the day. JB is different. His wife called the police after being assaulted four times and no doubt she suffered more. He has settled SEVERAL sexual assault charges OUT OF COURT. Just within recent years he pushed his wife over and alot of other women have accused him of harrasement or violence. JB didn;t have a couple of crazy years he has done it HIS WHOLE ADULT LIFE! | |

I think Jimmy looks great. In fact, this UK Music Awards appearance is the first we've seen of him with gray hair. He's been dying his hair black for years now. I like the natural look on him now though. 
mikek1 SORT of has a point in there somewhere in his rambling, veering off-topic post up above though. Having a bad heroin, drinking, and smoking habit back in the day will do that to you though. He looks fit and healthy these days. Much better than even 10 years ago. And well, he IS 62 and some people just don't age as well as others (skin-wise and all). Lyn Collins & Marva Whitney talked about his possessiveness many times.
Said that he'd tap their phones and hire some people to track them down where ever they went. But Tammi Terrell had it rough the most with him(And David Ruffin too) she got some nasty mental, physical and verbal abuse from those men. These ain't hardly news though. Soul Brother #.1 was and still is notorious for his rough ways with women(and his band too). Damn near everybody who worked with him endured a love/hate relationship with him.
