I'm not sure how European, Latin American, or Asian audiences view Micheal Jackson, but the vast majority of the American audience now views him as an has-been oddity. Obviously, I can't speak for everyone, but most folks I know wouldn't even consider buying or listening to his music, and alot still consider him guilty of all those wierd allegations.

I think he might sell respectful numbers of CDs, but I doubt it will be a comeback.

As for artistically, maybe it will be the best album he's made in a long time, but I don't feel that it will be.

I hope it's not the 'Blame it on the Boogie bush' because then he'd have to find 14 other fucker's named 'Michael Jackson'. Boogie was written by Michael Jackson, but not THAT Michael Jackson. The MJ who wrote boogie is from the UK and he had a very minor hit with it on the UK charts.

I heared Michael wrote 'Billie Jean' when he was driving and was so captivated in writing the song he didn't notice his car was on fire. So if anyone sees Michael driving around, or being driven around, set fire to his car and maybe we'll hear something as good as Billie on his next album.

Heck yeah!! i think we are in store for a nice funky album from Mr. Jackson. I read somewhere in interview he said he wasnt going to write about the trail. SO if all is true expect a funky up beat album.

I agree with you about the "Heal The World", "Childhood" type of songs ONLY because people have taken his good intentions and turned them into something "dirty". I hope and pray that he continues in the vein of the Invincible album which I thought was GREAT! That album was the type of album that was so good that even non-fans bought it because of word-of-mouth. I saw people buying the Invincible album that hadn't bought an album since Dangerous. Songs like "Butterflies", "Heaven Can Wait", "Break of Dawn" were loved by R&B DJ's and they played them to death. It was the first time in a LONG time that DJ's played Michael's music and didn't have a single negative thing to say. They were all just amazed at how good he sounded and it reminded them just how talented he was. The bullshit was forgotten on the R&Bstations. "Whatever Happens" would have been huge on both Pop and R&B if pop radio had not banned him. If Sony hadn't sabotaged the album, it would have gone through the roof. Even with all of the media bullshit, it did great numbers. I really do hope that Michael does NOT go the "pop" route, because pop radio will not support him. They are not even willing to give him a chance and hopefully Michael knows that. He needs to make music from his SOUL, that is where he is at his best. I am breathlessly awaiting a soulful, dance-filled album that only Michael Jackson can make.R&B radio supported him with Invincible and they will support his new album IF it is soulful.

He was an alien who wanted to join the men in black. His cameo was pretty funny actually.

I agree. He was singing again on Invinvible. Singing, not grunting and yelling. The thing it needed was just some editing on some of the monotonous tunes like the title song etc. I always thought he should have toured with Invincible on a scaled down event (no props) and especially that he should have done an Unplugged with that material. It would have been hot. Those songs you mentioned are great and the production on that record is awesome!

I think that it's funny how alot of devoted MJ fans on this thread are saying that just because he's writing all or the majority of the songs on his next project that this will be a return to greatness for him. It's really not about Michael's writing ability,it's about the production of the song.

Off The Wall,Thiller and Bad would not have sold what they did if Q was'nt pushing the buttons and Dangerous would not have sold as much if Teddy was'nt doing his thing. You want proof look at the sales of Invincible(yes it sold a few million but nowhere near the forementioned albums, and he wrote songs on that album that basically went nowhere!)

If MJ does'nt find the right producer to unlock the genius this new record will maybe go double plastic at best! sigh
