MJ says he's writing most of his new album himself.

After years in the music wilderness, Michael Jackson has confirmed he's back and ready to reclaim his "King Of Pop" crown.

Talking exclusively to MTV UK News he confirmed he has started work on his new album and when asked how it was going, responded, "Excellent".

Shunning superstar collaborations also it seems, he told us, "I'm mainly writing it myself."

He also revealed that he's currently "all over the place" looking for a new house but that when he's settled he wants to get to work on a new movie.

.....

If this is true then it's the best Michael news I could wish for.

Don't Stop Til You Get Enough, Billie Jean, Stranger In Moscow. His best songs are always the songs he writes himself. This album's gonna be awesome. cool

Who said he is acting in a movie? He could be directing a movie, writing a movie or just writing a soundtrack for a movie. Working on a movie could mean working on the soundtrack for a movie.

Well, even when he looked "normal" he still played a fantasy role. I think anything in that non-drama genre might work.

lol

It's a crap title that I don't care for. Thing is, I can't really argue with it, either.
When it comes to the most successful male pop artist, Mike wins by some distance.

Still, damn Liz Taylor for ever uttering those words.

Good news,,,MJ is an underrated lyricist/composer. Most of the stuff he was notable for are the stuff her wrote himself.

I've always appreciated his feel for rhythms and arrangements more than his lyrics.

He, as Rod Temperton put it, is "rhythmically driven", true. But a song like "Billie Jean" is a testimony of his song writing skills too.

He's def clever,,,alot of his metaphor use fly over people's head sometimes.

Folks just need to be hip to what a line like "She said I am the one who will dance on the floor in the round" for example. Thats a 2-way street line, and MJ was smart enough to use it.

I'm not sure how European, Latin American, or Asian audiences view Micheal Jackson, but the vast majority of the American audience now views him as an has-been oddity. Obviously, I can't speak for everyone, but most folks I know wouldn't even consider buying or listening to his music, and alot still consider him guilty of all those wierd allegations.

I think he might sell respectful numbers of CDs, but I doubt it will be a comeback.

As for artistically, maybe it will be the best album he's made in a long time, but I don't feel that it will be.
