No matter how current the photos or footage of MJ, when I look at him I always feel like I'm in 90s.

When will people get over his appearance? He's looked this way for years now, it's nothing new.

Stop being so superficial anyway. Who gives a shit what his hair looks like or how pale his skin is? The guy is a fucking legend and in spite of what his critics have to say about him, he is loved and respected by thousands of people across the world.

That is what was so nice to see at the WMA's. The sheer amount of respect he still gets from people.

He is a damn horror show. I am amazed at how he is as white as notebook paper. I had no idea that a black person (as black as he was) could actually do something this crazy to himself. His nostrils,if you can still call them that, have totally collapsed in on themselves.
Look at his "hair" and his bizarre fingernails .. ugh.
I am disgusted. MJ used to be beautiful, man. Beautiful. Now he is just a cartoonish monster. It turns my stomach to see what he has done to himself.

Telling it like it is. Michael Jackson is pathetic nowadays. He was a handsome brother who destroyed his blackness to look like a white woman. Dude is f----d up in the head. Disgusting.

And I love the Orgers who think there's nothing wrong with that.

Not to justify some of the comments but I think this has a lot to do with it. It's just hard to accept or look over because it's such a departure from what many fans remember. Some things you never get over/past.

The reason why I can't get over his looks is because I vividly remember him looking like the above. I mean compare yesterdays picture with the above and it's two different people and hasn't got much to do with age either; one pic looks all brown and warm and the other pic looks like something out of a vampire film, and yet is suppose to be the same person. Do people really expect that to be overlook, when its all part of his image. The only peeps that thinks he looks "so fine" are his pyscho fans, who probably hardly know anything about Michael pre-Thriller.

Secondly, even with a couple of nose Jobs there is no way MJ should end up looking like how he does today. Compared to 2001 he looks better now, but he still looks bloody awful.

That's a nice pic of him. I've had residual feelings of sadness associated with MJ for years. I wasn't sure why at first but eventually I realized what it was.

I just got back home after staying with friends for a few days so haven't read the threads on non MJ forums.

I still don't know why they said we booed him. I was there in the front few rows... unfortunately getting almost crushed to death.

The only person to get booed was Lindsay Lohan for her piss poor presenting skills and zero personality.

Prince fans are disolusioned about Princes music, and his own head peice lol
MJ fans are disolusioned about mjs sanity
But when you analyze it the line between Prince fan and MJ fan are pretty much the same.
Cause any person who believes prince is remotely sane, is off in their own "Prince World"

their both celebs that are recluses
Prince - Insane
MJ- Mentally Tattered beyond all bel
of course by default the MJ fan is moore disolusioned
but the prince fan isnt far off...

Prince's appearance at the UK Hall of Fame Awards was pure class. Even without a performance, Prince blows MJ off the stage. MJ has become an unfunny joke and Prince has become a respected and brilliant musician.
And I love the way that recluse Prince shows up at basketball games, movie premieres, other people's concerts, restaurants, etc. And I hated when he opened up Paisley Park for late night concerts and Celebrations. What a hermit.
Insane? If you define insane as cool beyond belief, then Prince is the King of Insanity.

I have to give Prince that, he doesn't need an award show to appear on stage and give a steller performance.

Nowadays Michael can only turn up at a show that is giving him awards or saluting him in one way or another and even then he can't perform or he struggles to perform.

The sad thing about it is that it wasn't always like this; There was a time Michael could turn up at a show and give stellar preformances i.e Motown 25th, the grammies and even those Diana Ross specials that he would turn up to and perform with Diana or solo..It's just ashame how things have turnt out after 40 yrs in the biz..

BTW, as shit as MJ's appearance was at the WMAs, the entire show was shambles and the venue staff and organisation of the show, the audience, the sound, absolutely everything was diabolical. Worst I've ever seen.

Since when do you keep 1000 people with standing tickets sitting in a basement of their own sweat with no food or water for 7 hours? I'm not kidding or exaggerating.

Class is when your buddy Prince shows up to promote his album on American Idol...and arrives only to perform and leave immediately after his performace...class is when you stand on stage in recognition of a song you wouldnt be a part of, and instead of singing like everyone else, you lick a lolipop...these cases define the class of Prince right?

Indeed...This discussion has nothing to do with whether or not someone's an asshole (lol)....Prince is very eccentric (and at times an asshole)...But he does enough normal stuff to make folks feel that he still belongs to the world...

Telling fans right outside the venue is way to late, especiallly those that went onto go inside via their paid tickets, it was in the press for a week or more he was going to perform Thriller but there was no comment from his camp denying this or informing his fans of the situation on a website or whatever. A lot of people bought tickets expecting to see a comeback performance, no wonder some want their money back.

Yes there was a comment from Raymone Bain denying that he was going to perform "Thriller". This was posted on mjjforum.com on Nov 8 2006, 08:27 AM by MJDANCER123 :

I sent over all the press with my subject saying: "Lots of press about MJ peforming end Scene of Thriller.

She sent back
"Please inform the fans this is not true"

I cant elaborate on anything other than I sent all the press from the top of this page, with that sentence in my subject line...

I guess the fans didn't want to believe this, they hoped until the last minute he will surprise everyone and perform "Thriller".
Also, there were some fans who met him and spoke to him the day before the WMAs and when they asked him if he was going to perform, he said NO.

A shame the talent wasn't more equally distributed throughout the family, then.

MJ was the most talented no doubt, but Jermaine wasn't bad, neither was Tito has a guitarist. And for those who have seen both the Jacksons and MJ solo most will tell you that MJ with his brothers were better. He could actually eeven interact with the audience when they were around instead of just saying "I love You" all the time; check out The J5 in Mexico 75, Destiny and Truimph tours. At least he didn't continuously freeze on stage when they were around, something that is becoming an ongoing habit with MJ over the last 10 yrs.
[Edited 11/16/06 5:12am]

I completely agree with you! Even at MSG which was maybe the worst MJ I've seen he was better with his brothers. Most people who knows what soul, improvisation, ad libs will agree with this.

If you look at earlier concerts with the Jacksons, the dance is important but never has important as the singing. Over the years he has lost the distinction and now with age catching up he obviously can't dance as well, but because of lack of live singing he can't seem to sing as well either.[/quote]

I agree once again
