The first time I heard about her was on P's DVD and she was -is so annoying.
Then I heard her on Van Hunt's cd and I actually liked the tone of her voice.
I think her per4mance with Prince is what's called OVERSINGING.

i like nikka costa a lot. i dislike that appearance of hers on the aladdin dvd...a LOT. i mean, okay, girl's got pipes, great, we get it. tone down the viper alarm vocal pyrotechnics, i'm trying to listen to a guitar solo!

i love Nikka, and while that performance doesn't bother me so much, it also didn't inspire me to like her. that happened organically, totally free from any Prince exposure. so yeah, must not have been so good to my ears, either.
