Madonna´s jump versus Pet Shop Boys West End Girls Maybe I am late on this, but I´ve just heard Pet Shop Boys´ West End Girls and the bass and drums seems VERY SIMILAR to that of Madonna´s Jump. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

they sure did. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

It was an intentional "homage", ie: Madonna ripped them off subtly enough that she didn't have to credit them. I read somewhere that they were flattered by the nod. After all, they did remix 'Sorry'. BTW, anyone else think that 'Someday Is Tonight' from Rhythm Nation 1814 also has 'West End Girls'-ish elements to it? The chord progressions in parts of the songs are the same. I dunno but I think Let's Wait Awhile sounds awfully like Human by Human League. [Edited 11/13/06 12:45pm]
