Chicago at Carnegie Hall 1972 4 CD UNBELIEVABLE They included a whole disc of unreleased performances. Terry Kath does the most incredible guitar work on just that disc -- it has to be experienced. | |

I've always found the @CH to be horrible. Jams were too long and uninteresting and there were too many medleys. Plus CH is not a very modern sounding room. The terrible acoustics are legendary and the mix loses the impact of the horns. Also, in 1971 they didn't have many songs that I liked.
Notto be a total downer, there's a LIVE IN JAPAN set that has songs from later like "Saturday In The Park" and "State Of The Union". This is very very good.  test | |

I was commenting on the 4th disc. The rest is good, but that last one has tons of unreleased Kath solos.
The japan 72 is excellent as Ive seen the video. | |

Haven't heard that one yet.
It's too bad their ('68 or '69) concert at Hunter College in NYC wasn't recorded. The band was on, Kath was on and the room sounded great. tA  Tribal Disorder
