A Man And A Half (Wilson Pickett)

So I find myself sitting here late at night (somewhere in a little house in Europe), listening to this fine fine fine compilation. I think I am becoming a huge Pickett fan right now wink

I do not know much about him, so I might find it very useful to start a little conversation... with some people who enjoy him as much as I do...

What are his relevant albums? A Man and A Half seems to be a pretty fine compilation (as well, there is a new compilation out there called The Definitie, with similar tracklist, although a couple of tracks less)... I also do know a Live in Philadelphia (?) album, have to check it out once more.

His version of Hey Jude is fantastic!

you are talking about one of the greatest soul singers who ever lived. I myself don't own any Wilson Pickett albums, but I do love some of his songs:

Land of 1,000 dances
In the Midnight Hour
Don't Let the Green Grass Fool You
634-5789
Mustang Sally
Bring it on Home To Me
Everybody Needs Somebody to Love

I'm sure some great orgers who are more experienced in that down home soul music will come in this thread to school you (funkpill, soulalive, vainaidy, etc.) thumbs up! biggrin
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
