Absolutely love it! Probably best described as jazz-groove, it includes some smoking instrumentals and three beautiful vocal tunes. Only disappointment is that although Meshell wrote and produced nearly the entire album, she doesn't appear on it that much - I think from memory only playing bass on 4 or 5 of the songs.

The live show from this era was awesome - especially when they kicked into the Afro-beat tunes and Fela covers! I remember half the audience being disgusted that Meshell wasn't going to sing and the rest of us just grooving hard with smiles on our faces.
