Another reason Manilow is a cool guy...... Great interview the other day with Manilow, talking to Craig Ferguson. Basically Craig asked him "what do you listen nowadays" and Manilow said "well im an old fart, i just take my iPod and listen to chet baker and bill evans etc", mainly because he said "no one can writes classic pop songs like they used too" but then he said of the new stuff, "I love electronica!" "things like Groove armada,underworld and basement jaxx", which goes to show you how hip the people you dont think are hip, actually are! "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F | |
