speaking of Cheri,I recently found the 12" of her 1983 signle "Working Girl".Who remembers this song? It didn't do very well,but I like it.

I read liner notes from one CD that almost suggested Cheri was a group. There are two vocalists on that track but I've never heard anything else from Cheri. But that song is one of the best dance pop songs around...Love hearing it!

I'm surprised this song didn't raise more eyebrows back then.That was a controversial topic.Funny,when I first heard this song,I thought it was Vanity 6! Cheri sounds kinda like Vanity on this track,and the other girl in the chorus reminds me of Brenda.

Now what I want is nothing new
Just a different avenue
