Another reason to love Britney!!

Her no talent husband was here promoting the cd that nobody is going to buy and the interviewer asked him how he proposed to Britney. You know what he said???... Britney was the one that proposed to him!!!!! I think marriage is a joke but i got to give her credit for doing that.

Not only is she really hot but she is not stuck in the past and actually had the guts to do that instead of expecting or waiting for that loser to do it.

Wish more women had the guts or the modern views to do that stuff.

But the content of the discussion is otherwise and these threads change the tone of the forum, which people enjoy for its serious discussion of music

Don't get me wrong. sHe has lousy taste in men. But at least she did that. Most women will never have the guts or modern view to do that.

its sad. she proposed because he wouldn't/didn't (or maybe he just coudln't afford a ring). there's a difference between being ballsy and/or modern and just being thick headed.

Well you rarely find women who will do the proposing so i would say it's ballsy and modern over thick headed. Most would have just waited for the man to do it.

My friend was telling me the other day about her worry if her BF never asks her to get married. I told her what's wrong with her asking? I don't get that about girls...they seem to displace things. Like when their man cheats, it's all the other girls fault.

You should have just changed the title of the thread to something more appropriate.

There are a couple reasons women won't do it.

1. They are chicken.
2. They have grown up to believe that it's the man's job to do it while they sit like a princess and accept.
3. They are too cheap to buy a ring.

it's one thing to propose to somebody who is worthy of being with you, but its another to propose to someone because you know that they just won't do it first.

Most girls don't propose to their men, because they want the guy to want it. If a girl proposes to a guy, 9 times out of 10, he will probably say "yes", because he doesn't want to hurt her feelings, not so much because he loves her and wants to be with her forever. If he proposes and buys the ring, that means he is committed to the idea of spending the rest of his life with this girl - it makes it more geniune in my opinion (but I think marriage is kinda of pointless, so don't take my opinion to heart - I agree with celebrity couples like Goldie Hawn/Kurt Russell and Gene Simmons; all happily UNmarried for 10+ years). I've seen tons of my female friends ask guys out on dates and that's a pretty big step to me. Leave something for the guy to do, seeing as how modern science hasn't figured out a way for men to carry babies for nine months or feel the pain associated with labor. The least they can do is propose; and buy you a bag of tacos at 1 in the morning when you're 7 months along. smile I think Britney just wanted to marry K-Fed because she wanted to have children, but didn't want to have them out of wedlock. For some reason, she thought K-Fed was a good candidate neutral . That doesn't mean she's ballsy, that just means she wanted to be a mommy.

No offence but that is one of the worst excuses given for women not proposing to men. Every guy i know wouldn't hesitate to say no if he did not want to get married. Most guys if they have a spine don't do anything they don't want do. They don't care if they hurt a woman's feelings.
lol

Women just are not gonna spend the money and women want to receive the ring not give it. Women dream of that shit when they are little girls. of a guy getting in the degrading postion of getting on his knees, blah, blah. Then they can get together with their girlfriends and all dream about it and talk about it together.

Why else do guys propose 95% of the time. Because most women are to stuck in their ways and too old fashioned to do it. That's why Britney is a breath of fresh air when it comes to women. She is a modern woman.

The pressure of proposing is always and has always been put on the guy to do.
