One of my all time favourite madonna pictures. A big F off to pretty much everyone. That book was definitely not about titilation. It was about her doing whatever the fuck she wanted to do. An assertion of her power more than her sexuality - and while i laugh at the pretence that it was all done in the name of art (although i do find some of Meisels shots beautiful) - it was driven by her ego - her rebellious streak - her sense of fun - and moer than anything her balls. The lady has more balls than most men in a ridiculously sexist industry. In a world where people dont stand up and do the things they talk about - she does - and i admire her for that.
