Were they really that desperate for attention that they'd air their dirty laundry on national tv? Some people do shit that doesn't make any sense. They're in need of family counselling, not a spotlight.

BTW, scripted as that clip did seem, the disfunction is real enough. Fans of the two boys have been hearing for years just how screwed up the Carters are.

i've only seen a couple of episoeds of this show and my goodness they are a bloody mess! they should soon have a house of Lohan's because i heard her family is screwed up too.

Its a bunch of lazy whiny brats crashing in a million dollar house spending leftover Backstreet Boys profits, and they don't know what to do with themselves. They're all adults now, they're a little too old to be complaining about their parents leaving them. Every time I come across this show while channel surfing, it's usually some scene where one of the sisters is rolling around in her bed drunk and crying about something, or Nick is screaming at Aaron in some stupid fratboy accent.

The family is pretty low class, too. Carters weren't always rich. From what I've heard, before Nicky and lil Aaron started rolling in the money, the family had lived alternately in trailers, vans,(7 people in a van! can you fucking believe that?) and for a while, above a bar. The disfunction was there from day one, too.
