The album is "Midnight Lounge". It doesn't have the pop hits of her eighties past, but it is a sexy and sophicated mix of R&b, disco and chill out electronic! You don't hear ablusm like that anymore from women in her position. The production quality is amazing, which is usually what albums by older artists no longer on major labels suffer from most.

I am glad someone started this thread. I looked her up yesterday and found out about Midnight...lots of good things too. I may pick it up.

I can recommend her first album as that is where the majority of the hits are. Or the remix album...but some of the remixes are a bit suspect. The second album is OK.

I heard good things about her newest one Makeover.

Can anyone tell me whether the flower album was good?
I remember the first single and video from that album on
atlantic was hot but did not hear anything else from it.
