James BROWN danced ut to death!

This man is freaking unbelivable!!! His yesterday´s concert in Prague again brought me to musical heaven in spite of the highest expetactations that I came there with. As if this was possible, the man´s getting better and better. I visited his concert also two years ago and this one was even better because of better selection of songs that I love. The band, the sound, the fabulous singers with the most amazing voices, the style, the drive, the energy just kept people screaming and on their feet throughout the whole show. He is just one of those artist that EVERYONE should hear live.
"When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

What were some songs he played?

I've seen him twice in the last 3 years and loved both shows. I only wish he could play more of his gritty early 70's funk eg some stuff from Hell!

Him and his band are certainly ripping up stages at the moment. The horns are fire!

Music, sweet music, I wish I could caress and...kiss, kiss...

Well, last time he played Get up offa that thing, Get up on the good foot which I don´t like that much. It lacks a great melody for me, and than some songs that I don´t know by name, which I did not like that much either. But this time he played the best of the best:
Living in America
Make it funky
Pappa´s got a brand new bag
I feel good, of course
Sex machine
Soul power
Try me
IT´s a man´s world
Please please please

etc. all of them of course changed slightly, prolonged etc. It was just unbelievable. Mym mum was there with me and she got out in trans as well. I got her a ticket for her birthday and before that she hardly knew who James Brown was. (He´s not as popular in the Czech republic. Ppl who are not interested in music don´t know him)
He just has the most unbelielvable band. They played so effortlessly as if it was nothing, yet they just could not have played better. Unbelievable.

SenseOfDoubt

Has anyone here been to the Vienna concert on November, third? (I think it was on that day). I did not have the money... would have loved to see it, but it was simply too expensive.
