Forget that! Hammer should have won a lot of best video awards for Pumps And A Bumps.
cool

Hammer gets fuck all credit for his video's. Ha, i love me the "pumps and a bump" video. I respect hammer as he came from the street, acted positive, but could still prove he wern't all poppy all the time. That video don't get much more OG then that.

Still man, seeing "too legit.." as a 5/6 year old, premiere, and buying the making of VHS with the full 15 minute James brown version, that was as hyped as Jacko's "black or white". Still an awesome video, and has dated better then those fucking fisheye puff daddy video's etc.. of the mid 90's.

yeah but Hammer is the same man who sold out just to reach the "black" audience, and was all cozy with Suge Knight just to prove that he was "hard".
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Like Hammer is the only artist who sold out. A lot of artists have done it, it's just that many of their fans are either forgiving or have a short memory. A large number of artists have done this. They do what they have to do to sell records. You can give me Hammer's "Pumps and a Bump" any day over the crap that's going on now.

I finally watched the award show and saw Kanye's so-called blow up. I found it more amusing than anything, and like Blaque Knight said it does make the show interesting because that show was even lamer than the usual award shows. At least it provided adequate background noise while I was working. If anything that should be talked about is exposing Justin Timberlake for the dweeb he is, the man has the personality of a carrot and the people who produced the show are either ADD or tripped out on meth, I could barely follow what was going on outside of the crappy sound. The awards that were given were either kissing ass or the judges just got bored and started picking names to win out of a fishbowl. We should be thanking Kanye's tacky ass for providing a little entertainment.

Carry on.

Well the friendship between Hammer & Suge goes way back before this point. Hammer once help Suge (financially) whenever he needs help. Years later, Suge would return the favor to Hammer by paying for most of the production cost to create The Funky Headhunter album.

Hammer was one of the few people that Suge never try to screw over.

Both Hammer & Suge verify (in separate interviews) their true story on how they first meant back in Oakland.

Yeah I know, Suge can't be trusted. But at least take Hammer's side for all it's worry.

Ya'll acting up over this joke?

Marvin Gaye was about to get up when he lost over Lou Rawls. He was like "That Lou, man, I should've punched his Nigress nostrils right there".

Now that was a true Non-stunt for your ass lol

The difference is Marvin WAS A GENIUS.....When West makes a Masterpiece like "What's Goin On"?....I'll accept his arrogance.

lol For what? He's still in the top ten and her album went straight wood.

Btw- Kayne's an idiot. That fact that dogged Bush by stating the obvious does not get him a free pass to be an idiot over an award he didn't win. lol
[Edited 11/3/06 12:54pm]

Kanye's an asshole. And Justin is still a lil' BITCH.
He fucked over Janet. He's a bitch - with or without a hit record. ...and NO, it doesn't make it right. I'm just not acting all surprised like some people are. Its not like this is the first time he's publicly bitched about losing an award. He likes trophies. We get it. He really needs to quit his antics but I hope he doesn't because he's entertaining to me. biggrin I'm being honest about it.

If you're trying hurt my feelings by calling JT a bitch... well you're gonna have to try a little harder. I don't care at all about JT and his jacked up way of getting out of various embarassing situations. And Janet fucked herself over by pulling that stunt then letting that troll of a boyfriend of hers produce her next two albums. razz

See the good thing about artists like Kanye.. you don't have to put forth much effort in trying to expose what a stupid jackass he really is.. he does it himself quite fine..

i sure hope so. he's such a sorry ass loser to me. joke or not, his contrived way of getting his name out in the public eye is just a sorry waste of time. like someone said earlier, until he makes a masterpiece, he's got no place to act like a dumbass.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that
