There is a big difference between those that are just born homosexual and those that experience the fullness of gay culture and all that it has to offer. I'm not saying you have to be a flamer or anything but i'm saying you have to be open to those people who you say fit the gay sterotype.

without those you came before who fit the gay sterotype we wouldn't be able to be who we are today. without those people who Madonna supported an who supported her in return along with all the other Gay Icons we wouldn't have what we have today.

the joys of being out and about in the gay community and part of the gay culture are the ambitions, the love art, the love of true spirituality, the understanding of camp, the understanding of the human experience, the joys and heart breaks of love, the revernce for those who aren't afaird of putting themsevles out there, the freedom to be who we are and not what socitey wants us to be, and the ability to feel apart of the greater good. the qualities that Madonna has because she is involved in the experience that is gay culture.

we limit ourselves and buy into the homophobia when we try to look down on those who don't want to assilimate into the mainstream.

in any case,Madonna is fortunate to have such a large gay following.Gays are a very loyal bunch.Why do you think Cher was able to have such a successful comeback,selling out all those shows? It was largely her gay fans that made it possible.

Seriously, I was just looking for something to knock you off of your pedestal. I'm sure you're a great guy, I mean you're quoting "Vibrator" fer chrissakes so you can't be all bad. You're in your early twenties and still discovering who you are- I sure as hell didn't know who I was until my early thirties. I hope that one day you will be able to see that even if you say you're "playin" with us about the whole Madonna/Gay thang that there are some solid and genuine reasons that some gays (and straighties ) like her and you should respect that instead of feeling like you are better for not "getting" her.
