The little smile that comes across Glenn's face when then freeze it was genius. Both songs captured the mood of the character and the way it ended on a "looking to the future, I'm going to make it" vibe was beautiful. Again, excellent pick. Yes.. that was a beautiful ending; that's what i pictured while typing. I reversed it with Reach Out(I'll Be There) first, because it was closer to the credits rolling. [Edited 10/31/06 20:25pm] I KNOW that's why u did it! SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

Another was the end of Goodfellas, which featured, I believe, the Sex Pistol's cover of "My Way." Yet another was the end of Malcolm X, which closed with Arrested Development's "Revolution." High Fidelity has a great soundtrack. I think in the climax of the film they play Bob Dylan's "Most Of The Time" which is particularly effective, but i agree - the ending with "I Believe" is most appropriate - particularly in view of the rant earlier in the film about "I Just Called to Say I Love You" - just that bit of affirmation that Stevie is one of the greatest so no one gets it twisted.

Indeed, they were playing up the "music snobs" angle, and the characters' anti-80's bias was evident (the "Cosby sweater" diss was classic). But even Stevie made up for that in the 80's with cuts like "Overjoyed" and "Ribbon In The Sky." Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

The end where Dan realizes Alice wasn't who she said she was while standing in the cemetary and then it cuts to Natalie Portman walking down Times Square with Damien Rice's The Blower's Daughter echoing as in the opening. The song fit so perfectly within the context of the plot.
