He also called up Ja Rule (new at the time) who had just collaborated with Mariah in the song If We to be released in her upcoming Glitter album, and Motola asked him, according to Ja Rule himself in a radio interview, to fly to a particular studio as quick as possible and do the same idea for the remix of the same song, and he did it and the song was sent to radios.

Both versions ended up big hits (esp. the remix) and the whole Jennifer VS Mariah drama started from there.

When Mariah was asked about it she simply said :"I'm happy for her and her friend who helped her do it"
